Privacy Notice
Ethnic Community Services Co-operative (ECSC) has been contracted by the NSW Department of Education (Department) as part of the Preschool Multicultural Support Program (PMS Program), to provide certain services including the creation of a resources hub, including for the sharing of early childhood education and care (ECEC) providers’ resources.
In providing these services, the Department and ECSC is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).
ECSC / the Department will collect the following personal information:
- your first and last name;
- your email;
- your service’s name; and
- whether your service is a preschool, long day care, community preschool or other type.
The provision of such personal information is voluntary. However, if you do not provide all or any part of the information requested, it may prevent inclusion of your own resource on ECSC’s resources hub and website.
ECSC and the Department will use the information collected from you, including personal information, to:
- keep a register of participants contributing to ECSC’s resources hub, and assist with preparing, running and operating ECSC’s resources hub and website;
- assist design of future resources hubs and websites that are part of the PMS Program or otherwise part of the services for which the Department has contracted ECSC, if any;
- ensure compliance with ECSC’s and the Department’s obligations under laws governing or relating to the ECEC sector; and
- conduct lawful research and compile statistics relating to the ECEC sector if complying with privacy legislation.
ECSC / the Department will not disclose personal information to other third parties unless authorised or required by law or with your consent. Reports or study findings may be published, but any personal information will be de-identified in these publications.
